Day 7 Isolate

Feeling a bit down this morning. Not ill, just tired and lack lustre. Due partly to not getting a good night's sleep and the fact that the weather has turned colder and less sunny. I had to get up twice in the night to let Jasper out. At least he asks but it is a bit unnerving to be woken by him leaping off the bed and thrusting his nose into my face! I'm not really complaining about him as he is great company and gives me a reason for getting out of the house on a regular basis.

Yesterday whilst doing my Scrabble games I got a seven-letter word. It seemed appropriate. ISOLATE

I don't think I am going out into the garden today to finish off tidying up. It feels too cold. I have spent an hour playing Scrabble. People are playing a lot more frequently which is to be expected although I am annoyed as the regular game I play which is on a 'board' similar to that of real Scrabble has been replaced with another version - different colours and more effects. I don't like it. I can continue with the original as I have it downloaded but for how long? As Jim would have said, "What do you expect - consistency?"

Another video today from my archives. This is Joni and Ben at the Botanical Garden of Wales playing in the Inflatable Water Balls.

One of the first things I do in the morning - usually when I am still abed is to look at the news. I read it online, mostly the Guardian and Independent and I have the New European delivered on subscription. I need to feel that my news stories are to be trusted if a little skewed to support my views. I will have no truck with the likes of the Mail, Express, Sun and Telegraph! I shan't make any political rants on this blog - just the occasional side swipe at people, views and events I can't stomach. My flag is still flying in my front garden.

From time to time you may see some differences to this blog as I tweak bits of it and add other elements. Today I have added some of 'Lion of Leisure' t-shirts in the side bar..

Usual walk today finishing at Filco where I bought a few things. They have now introduced a queueing system and an assistant sprays your hands on entering. I only had to wait about five minutes and I found all the items I needed.

This is an Inukshuk - a structure of rough stones stacked in the form of a human figure, traditionally used by Inuit people as a landmark or a commemorative sign. This one Jim built in the garden of our house in Eastgate after our visit to Canada.

Tot Ziens! Keep Safe! Don't Worry!
