Day 9 Greyhound

              Kronenbourg Rose

So, my Tesco order arrived at the correct address this morning and everything more or less as ordered except there may have been a slip of the finger on the keyboard as I seem to have 4 packets of kitchen roll! I didn't mean to look as though I am a hoarder. I don't even use much kitchen roll.

Titbit from the News
'Dominic Cummings is self-isolating at home after showing symptoms of coronavirus, Downing Street has confirmed.
The prime minister’s top adviser is understood to have fallen ill over the weekend and remains at home, while staying in contact with the Downing Street team during the quarantine period.
Mr Cummings, a key member of Boris Johnson’s inner circle, was last spotted racing away from Downing Street on Friday after the news broke that the prime minister had tested positive for Covid-19.
The news will raise fresh questions over whether senior government figures have been following social distancing advice after Mr Johnson and Matt Hancock, the health secretary, were both diagnosed with coronavirus."
Oh, dear. How sad. Never mind.

Some of you might find this useful

Household chores today mostly which have to be done sometimes but I think when we are stressed we should do the things which make us happy and relaxed - ie loll on the sofa and play Scrabble online or watch TV. Be kind to yourself, there's plenty of time in the future for those horrid jobs.

I don't think I am going to be making any more bread just yet. Nice as it was I weighed myself this morning after my shower. I HAVE PUT ON 2 lbs! Of course it could be the KitKats but I limit myself to one a day of those in the evening.

I have downloaded the crochet instructions for this Greyhound, I shall start one this evening if I can find some suitable wool.  I will let you know when I am ready to take orders.

Mystery object. This is a Vintage Bel Empire Marbled Brown Bakelite And Glass Cream Maker. You can still buy them today on ebay etc. but this is one I have had for about 40 years. I don't think I have ever made cream with. Probably too much like hard work.
Ingredients
250g of unsalted butter, 250 ml of full fat milk
In a saucepan, gently heat your milk and butter together. Do not let it boil!
Pour your milk/butter mix into the top of your cream maker
Pump pump pump!
