Dry day but cold. Dyffryn gardens is not charging entrance fee in these unusual times although the cafes and shop will be closed. I thought that I might go taking Jasper for a walk there in the morning. It would make a nice change from going 'round the block' and I would be able to take some photos. However when we arrived there at about 11.30 we found the gate closed and a worker advised us that as there were already a lot of people there they were stopping further admissions. We walked on the downs instead for a while where we met very few people and it was pleasant but breezy.
I have started a new patchwork project. Above is a chair that I inherited with the house when I bought it. Not my choice but it will be fine in the conservatory. However it needs a makeover so I am going to paint the wood and make a removable patchwork cover. The first step is to cut the strips of fabric.
I have found that the BBC is repeating the series 'Spooks' on iPlayer and I have started to watch these again. The story lines are a bit confusing but they will fill some time.
Random Photo
Every day I shall post a random photo and explain something about it. This is today's:
This is a pair of 'party' trousers owned and worn by my husband Jim during the 'seventies'. They are velour and brightly coloured as you can see. They are about waist 30" leg 29" and available for hire at a modest fee.
Stay safe and be happy!
