Today is sunny but cold. No rain is forecast.
On Tuesday 17 March, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that anyone aged 70 and over in the UK must self-isolate at home from this weekend (21 March) for up to four months to prevent them from contracting the virus.

So, that means Saturday for perhaps 99 days. Between the day before Mother's Day and the day of Father's day, 21st June.
That includes me and it's 'a big ask' for those of us who live alone. No one to talk to or argue with for that matter except on the phone or FaceTime (Skype) or the more impersonal emails. I am fortunate as I have a dog, my whippet, Jasper for company and he is well-behaved and affectionate. Whippets are also very lazy and like nothing better than lying stretched out on the bed or sofa unless it is chasing a cat or a squirrel. But I will have to take him for a walk every day even if it is only across the fields away from other people.
Days
What are days for?
Days are where we live.
They come, they wake us
Time and time over.
They are to be happy in:
Where can we live but days?
Ah, solving that question
Brings the priest and the doctor
In their long coats
Running over the fields.
I have enough shopping to last a week or so (no hoarding) and an online delivery booked after that so we shan't starve although both Jasper and I could do with losing a bit of weight.
I am planning projects to see me occupied over the coming weeks which I will reveal to you in due course but mostly I am happy to play Scrabble online, mess about on Facebook or read.
