Day 84 Nazi Salutes!

Notes for new readers - as this is a diary the first entry is the last, so you get to know 'who done it' before the crime is committed! This is a pain but can't be helped. After a week of entries the scrolling will stop and if you want to venture further click on 'OLDER POSTS' and read until you get to the first entry 'The Day Before Day 1

Up early this morning and down to Waitrose for stores. I treated myself to an Orchid and some other garden plants - including a replacement tomato plant if the struggling one in the vegetable bed doesn't buck it's ideas up. I thought I deserved these treats on account of my hard work with the scrubs.
Back home I made some phone calls and had a good chat with friend Mary and daughter Claire.  Usual call from Joni when we discussed the problem of cyclists in the wood. Groups of young men career about Troserch woods on mountain bikes caring little for the wildlife or walkers and their dogs. It would seem they have to be tolerated in order to keep the peace!
Did some indoor gardening debugging my orchid collection (they suffer from mealy bug which has to be kept in check) and giving them a feed and watering.
After usual walk I made a start on my latest batch of scrubs. A different fabric this time - soft and dark green. I shall do my best with these.
Watching Goodbye Christopher Robin on thee TV. Makes a change from repeats.

Arrests made as ‘guard our monuments’ demonstrators chant ‘Eng-ger-land’ and throw bottles.
At least five people have been arrested in clashes between protesters and police in central London at a demonstration against perceived slights to British national heritage.
Scotland Yard said that as of 5pm on Saturday, they had arrested five people for offences including violent disorder, assault on police, possession of an offensive weapon, being drunk and disorderly and possession of class A drugs.
At one point, the demonstrators, who included far-right activists, took over Parliament Square and pelted mounted police with bottles, cans and a smoke canister. Later on, as police in riot gear formed lines to contain protesters in the square, they also came under attack from a hail of bottles and cans.

Song
This is the only record that I have ever bought although I have downloaded lots of music. I saw Tommy Steele at the Birmingham Hippodrome with Art School friends 1957.

This is our tent. It's called an Igloo tent and is supported in the upright position by 5 inflatable ribs. We bought it during the 70's. It is very roomy inside and we have camped all over Europe in it. We still have although my camping days are over and the family prefer more modern tents.

TOT ZIENS! Keep Calm! Keep on Camping!
