Day 38 Portmeirion

Notes for new readers - as this is a diary the first entry is the last, so you get to know 'who done it' before the crime is committed! This is a pain but can't be helped. After a week of entries the scrolling will stop and if you want to venture further click on 'OLDER POSTS' and read until you get to the first entry 'The Day Before Day 1
Miserable day weather wise although, of course, it's what we are used to, I had planned to sow the vegetable seeds today but I would have had to do it outside - put it off! So so sorted some papers and washed floors instead.
The rat catcher came after lunch. He is a cheery fellow, he used to have a greyhound so we talked dogs. He called Jasper 'chubby' which I have to acknowledge is true. I told him that he was an old lady's dog and spent his days sitting on the sofa eating biscuits.
Then we talked rats and discussed what he was going to do. He identified my decking as the rats refuge and was going to bait the area in such a way that was safe for Jasper. This he did and will return next week to check on results.
Birds still looking for their victuals.
Played Scrabble and watched some old Waking the Dead. Now watching a programme about Portmeirion where I have visited twice. The last time was two years ago with my family and some of the photos I have put in the right margin were taken there. A lovely place. Here is another picture of the village.
