Day 24 Pizza in the Piazza

Notes for new readers - as this is a diary the first entry is the last, so you get to know 'who done it' before the crime is committed! This is a pain but can't be helped. After a week of entries the scrolling will stop and if you want to venture further click on 'OLDER POSTS' and read until you get to the first entry 'The Day Before Day 1

NOTE - All photographs, unless otherwise credited are mine own.

Watered the back garden today as it won't wait until the weekend when rain is forecast. Managed to do it without flooding the conservatory this time. That is the problem with having the tap inside. I wonder how much it would cost to have it moved?
I managed to buy a few plants today from Filco. They have herbs, begonias and fuschias.
No tonic water to be had. I settled for bitter lemon for my gin.
I wrote to the firm who quoted for the garage roof and told them I would be ready for them when the Clemetis Montana had finished flowering - probably in a couple of weeks. I will still have the massive problem of clearing it off the roof without losing too much of it in the process, however.
Been working on those crochet 'things'. I plan to get 10 finished tonight and get them posted off.

Snippet from the News
Thousands of firefighters across the country are in self-isolation, leaving brigades’ ability to react to emergencies “on a knife-edge”, a union has warned.
The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) warned it would be “increasingly difficult” for crews to respond to calls unless the government begins testing frontline staff for coronavirus.
Nearly 3,000 fire and rescue staff are in self-isolation and unable to work. Almost 2,600 of those are firefighters or control room employees, about 5.4 per cent of whom are currently off duty.
The FBU said it was “inevitable” this would “impact on brigades’ ability to provide fire cover and respond to other emergencies”.

Video

A little video I made a few years back using an App. (no longer available) when I was directing 'Dangerous Corner' by JB Priestley. Below is the set as described.

You know you are getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you can do while you're down there.

This is the gate to Jim's vegetable garden at Moulin du Clout. The clever catch was designed and made by my nephew David when he and Johanna were stuck there during the December of 2010. They were spending a night en route to Spain but a substantial snowfall prevented them moving on. However, they loved it so much there they stayed several weeks.
Lookout for the next photo of David's creativity.

TOT ZIENS! Got more chocolate! Stay calm!
