This is a Japanese Tree Peony - I can't remember which variety - that I had growing in a tub in my front garden in Eastgate. The most flowers it ever had on was five but they were very large. People used to ask me what it was when it was in bloom. It also had a rather nice scent. When I moved I gave it to my daughter in law as she had more space for it but I miss it as I had had it growing and blooming for about 15 years.
I built a greenhouse today. I bought the kit from the Dogs Trust shop a few weeks ago at a third of the retail price. Someone's unwanted Christmas present I guess. I thought it just the thing for my very small garden and today I got it out and assembled it. It was quite easy and I had it done without any swearing in about 20 minutes. I might plant some vegetable seeds for transplanting down the allotment. Not a very good picture, I will take another when I have planted some seeds in it.
Some success too on the bakery front. The second loaf pictured below and made from a fresh packet of bread mix is fine. It's described on the packet as 'Rustic Crunch'. Of course proof is required in the tasting but it's too hot now, perhaps for breakfast tomorrow.
Vale 4 by 4 rang today and cancelled my car's MOT for next Monday due to staff shortages. As I have 6 months extension I am ok with that.
My granddaughter Joni rang me today to have a little chat. She phones several times a week when she is walking her dogs. Today her news was that the other Grandma, Margaret, who lives with them and will be 90 next year had had another 'funny turn' today. She seems to have recovered because now is not the time to be admitted to hospital. Keep well Margaret. XX

This was Rufus the whippet I had before Jasper. His nighttime bed was on the landing and this was the sight we had one morning. I think it had snowed in the night!
Tot Ziens! Keep Calm, Keep Well!
