Day 40 Shopping

Notes for new readers - as this is a diary the first entry is the last, so you get to know 'who done it' before the crime is committed! This is a pain but can't be helped. After a week of entries the scrolling will stop and if you want to venture further click on 'OLDER POSTS' and read until you get to the first entry 'The Day Before Day 1

Woke early this morning so decided to make a visit to Waitrose where I have not been since the beginning of lockdown preferring to shop at Filco on my exercise round the block with Jasper. However, there are several items of choice that only Waitrose stock so I joined the queue of the old and decrepit at 7.45am in the rain and waited.
Note for anyone else doing this - don't go early expecting to be first through the door as you will find a tidy queue when you get there and be 19th to enter the store after waiting nearly half an hour. Better to go at 8.45 and go straight in.
Shopping done and loaded in the car and as the rain had abated somewhat I took Jasper, who had been waiting patiently in the car, into Tut park for some exercise. It was only on our exit that I observed the notice that the park was closed! Too late! and Jasper had chased a squirrel across the grass and then he had run round and round hoping to flush others out.
Did some more keyboard exercises and four more rows of patchwork. Then I took Jasper out again and staked the tomato  plants on the way. That's enough effort for today.
